mama's milk.

ok I might be the only one excited about this one, but today Darla Jane got to start on mama's milk. It is through a feeding tube and it's only 1cc and hour, which equals to less than an ounce a day. BUT...it's a start. Praying that her little belly will be able to tolerate it and that we will be able to gradually increase the amount that she gets. Here is little miss waiting patiently while the nurse gets the milk going. and there's the good stuff!

  1. yah for mom's milk! Now all that "work" on your end will be put to good use! I am loving the updates, and so glad things are still going well, all though she is already a trouble maker:)

  3. Yay for mommy's milk! Yay for a closed chest! Yay for progress! I think the pink socks on the hands are cute. :) I'm so glad she is fighting and prayers are being answered. Zeke still has his big ol' band-aid too and his chest tube holes are finally scabbing over. I hope she gets off the ventilator soon! I swear even at a couple weeks old they know having a garden hose down their throat is not natural. Go Darla Jane go! Love from your hospital neighbors! <3

  5. You are not the only one who is excited about this! I think we mom's can relate in some way. :) So glad you are blogging about this. You guys are AMAZING! Your positive attitudes and faith are truly inspirational. It's easy to see where DJ gets her "fight and faith." I would love to help your kids or anything else you need. Let me know!
